Personally big yes for me.. Can't imagine a player who would dominate the spin bowling from delivery one and still be in complete control. He basically murdered them. I can't believe there have been anyone better. He was one of a kind.

Discuss.

Lara. His 688 in SL is the greatest demolition of spin bowling in the modern era. Sobers is in the race too. The word ever throws up a wide range of possibility which are impossible to compare (Hobbs,Trumper)

Was Bradman a test project by NASA (or it's progenitor) to see if they could convince people of something unbelievable in preparation for faking the moon landing?

What about Lara? destroyed Murali and Warne
No, I didn't forget him...
I was getting to The Prince.

You seem to be very fond of Barrington. I'm curious why.
Perhaps because I was very young when I saw him; he is the first great batsman that I've seen.
I suppose I loved him all the more because of the stark contrast between his dour batting and his effervescent joviality.

That SL attack consisted of 3 okaish to rubbish bowlers and 1 great spinner. That was hardly a great spin bowling unit.

For a while there they used to bring up Michael Clarke's stats against spin and it he was averaging like 80 or 90 against spinners in Tests. Steve Smith probably a fair call too.

Maybe they just seemed great because they're from a country that can't play spin.
