Top five characters in cricket history

Biggest characters (as in larger-than-life)
1. Grace. He dazzled, he impassioned, he innovated, he cheated, he bullied, he at times demanded money up front, he established modern cricket.
2. Daylight :)
Real 2. Warne. He has also has done all the things Grace did. For all his brilliance as a cricketeer, Warne the character is more vivid in most peoples' mind - whether its sledgin', sleazin', smokin', plugging advanced hair (yeah, yeah), taking diuretics, storming out of press conferences', twisting Murali's tail... geez life will be boring when he hangs up his boots. Being more well known as a character than a cricketer takes some doing when you're as good as Warne is.
3. Javed Miandad.
4. Viv Richards
5. Doug Walters

Honourable mentions to Imran (like a tiger), Jardine (not just for bodyline and fly-bothering, but also for his funky headwear, and clarrie grimmit.

People like Tendaulkar and Bradman, I've left out because they are venerated, and probably more famous than most of my list, but because of their cricketing feats rather than their personality.
