It is not a baseless allegation- it has been discussed ad-nauseum at Caribbeancricket.com, where several people are in personal contact with West Indies players(present and/or former). The Trinidad Guardian carried an article on it- i am pretty sure bbc also carried an article on it but at 4 in the morning, this will have to suffice.James said:C_C - don't make comments about an individual without backing them up with facts, and even then it's not the sort of thing that should be discussed. You put Cricket Web and myself under threat in making baseless comments like that.
I have edited your post.
And i dont see why they should not be discussed- i have not brought it up anywhere else, have i ? This thread and Tony Cozier's article's main thrust is behaviour. Not cricketing accomplishments, tactics or ineptitude but behaviour. And as such, assault is very much a subset of behaviour.
I dont have a problem with Lara but i dont have a problem with Mike Tyson either. You have to realise that in many parts of the world ( and sometimes, in your own 'first world' backyards), not every single crime gets to the stage where someone is charged with it.
