Actually I’ve read his original post and the translation is pretty spot on. Historically Mashrafe has been always against foreign coaches getting gigs here. So it’s understandable where he’s coming from but at the same time he shields his mates with rose tinted glass.
Where did he post it? Just checked his Twitter, which only has a photo with the Bangla quote about the team being a rehab centre for South African coaches. His Facebook doesn't have anything on it.

I agree with him for the most part about foreign coaches tbh. You don't need to have been a great player to be a good specialist coach, just an adroit thinker about cricket and cricketing technique. We should be able to produce good coaches ourselves, and if there are good Deshi coaches like that Salauddin chap they all use as a batting mentor, they should be getting gigs.

The head coach also tends to be an organiser, tactician and man-manager more than anything and there's no reason we can't have a Deshi doing that either. It would help us avoid a lot of the cultural and linguistic misunderstandings.

I noticed @noumenonnon mentioned a Bangladesh cricket forum in that thread where he posted and eventually got banned.

Are any of you on that forum as well?

Yeah but it hardly has any traffic any more sadly. It used to be essential reading.
Oh, that's just sad. In terms of population for a test-playing nation, Bangladesh is third...and not having an active cricket forum just sucks. Look at Pakpassion and how active and vibrant they are.

Banglacricket.com also has a Facebook page which is really active, unlike the actual forum. It's way better posting on a forum though obviously.

We are out of the WC now and this performance was expected whoever follows BD cricket closely. Our team lacks leadership. When we played the home WC with Shakib as captain iirc, it was a disaster. Then Mashrafe came and lifted the spirits up. We did well reaching the quarters in the next WC and Mash deserves most credit for that. So whoever is taking a cheap shot at him should look into the mirror.

Mahmudullah a good captain is a myth IMHO. His body language is lacklustre in the field, rotation of the bowling is poor and a poor finisher as batsman himself.

I propose Papon to open the batting, Domingo to partner him. Ryan Cook to be in the team for his fielding ability and bat at no. 6. Khaled Mahmud to open the bowling.

1. Domingo
2. Papon
3. Habibul Bashar
4. Akram Khan
5. Ashwell Prince
6. Ryan Cook
7. Khaled Mahmud (hard hitter)
8. Naimur Rahman
9. Mushfiqur Rahim (keeper)
10. Abdur Razzak (semi chucker)
11. Rubel (Express)

When so much goes wrong, it's not rare for tempers to fray, or for fingers of blame to be pointed. When Bangladesh lost to Sri Lanka, Mushfiqur blamed Liton Das' dropped catches - they were crucial, make no mistake - for things going out of Bangladesh's control. Liton came under fire from Mahmudullah too, when the captain pinpointed his dismissal in the penultimate over against West Indies as the turning point in that game
Someone please make a list of Mushfiq’s dropped catches and how many matches he conceded.

Amidst all this doom and gloom, let's take a moment to acknowledge the runaway growth of our first class competition. Today's viewing figures for Khulna v Rangpur represents what is easily the biggest audience I've seen for an NCL game this season. If it keeps growing at this rate, who knows what could be possible?!

Towhid Hridoy is making some noises for his inclusion. This guy can bat. Im not sure how good hes against moving ball because not yet tested but hes turning few heads. Was part of u19 wc champion team. Deserves to be included in the upcoming England/Ireland series.
