hendrix is a boxing fan, and he sounds like one of the insecure ones. kicking someone is probably unfair and dishonourable or something.

Both Stipe and DC made finger pokes to the eye an intentional and calculated part of their strategy for 3 fights and the commentators/MMA media completely ignore it and treat these people like the fairest, most good spirited competitors ever.

Dana White said that the potential Ferguson-Poirier fight will "probably" take place at UFC 254, which is headlined by Khabib-Gaethje.
I can't wait to see el cucuy back in action?

Very decent card last night tbf.

Khamzat hype train going to get wild but while the people he has battered are not exactly elite, kid looks special. Not sure Damien Maia will be keen to fight him soon.

Main event was a dud, Colby is elite but his fights are so dull. Even his promos he doesn't have much charisma does he?

That's not be been triggered by his MAGA gimmick, Mc Gregor is a scumbag but nobody would deny the guy's charisma.

He can't beat Kamura, but he v Jorge would be class. However Jorge looks like he wants Diaz next a gimme fight but a massive pay day so sadly doubt we get erm Maga v Street Jesus anytime soon.

Woodley needs to retire though, absolutely finished.

Colby Masvidal should be a great fight. Think Colby takes it but should be fun nonetheless. Colby wants to be a heel but sadly it never seems like he actually believes his MAGA schtick.

Colby can beat Kamaru. In fact, he probably is the only ww who can dethrone Kamaru. Colby-Masvidal would be a damp squib akin to Kamaru-Masvidal. Masvidal is just an overhyped journeyman.

Yeah Colby beats Jorge but I assume Masvidal will duck him and just look for more winnable money fights and nothing Colby can do about that.

Unsure Colby has the knock out power to beat Kamaru but heh think if Kamaru beats Burns the re match is the obvious fight to make.

Think Colby can take Usman on his day tbh. It's probably like a 60/40 or 70/30 in favour of Usman winning though.

Colby is a volume striker. As their wrestling cancels out, he could easily win a decision. Even in their last fight, I had it 3-1 Colby, going to the fifth. Kamaru absolutely decimated him in the fifth though.

No I like MMA too I just think the UFC is a joke.

There's no rhyme nor reason to whom Dana decides is going to be in the UFC yet he's somehow managed to convince legions of fans that it has some legitimacy over other competitions.

You only have to look at that Paulo Costa guy to see he is nothing like what a top fighter is (whether you consider boxing kickboxing wrestling whatever or simply just other MMA competitions). It was the same thing with Conor McGregor. These guys are simply not that good.

Al Haymon is trying to do the same thing in boxing as the UFC he's called it the PBC and it's just as much of a joke. The worst is when some of the fighters start believing their own hype - e.g. with Wilder - don't get me wrong he's a very talented fighter but when you're only fighting in house guys it's way to easy to start believing the marketing.

The one thing I like about the UFC is that it doesn't punish guys for having an L on their record.

The best thing happening in combat sport is the world boxing super series because fighters from different stables as well as different sanctioning bodies fight each other.

Don King and Oscar De Le Hoya as well. All carnies.

We have to accept that pro combat sport of all kinds is a carny business.

there are loads of other organisations around the world e.g. M1, ProFc etc in Russia.

Yet for some bizarre reason Dana has managed to create this weird monopoly where the UFC is seen as some sort of prestigious exclusive organisation. Newsflash - the people in the UFC are not the best fighters in the world. They're simply the guys Dana has plucked out to join. When decent guys come in from other competitions (e.g. that 7beeb guy) and they're wiping out the competition you know it's phony.

On July 18, 2018, it was announced that the UFC has agreed in a partnership with Russian Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) where M-1 Global serves as the farm league for the UFC to scout Russian fighters for the UFC and involves in preparation and organizes new shows in Russia. Part of the deal also allows M-1 champions to have the opportunity to sign with the UFC.

M-1 Global Heavyweight Championship
Alexander Volkov vacated the title when he signed for UFC. (7-1 in ufc)

M-1 Global Light Heavyweight Championship
Khadis Ibragimov vacated the title when he signed for UFC. (0-3 in ufc)

M-1 Global Middleweight Championship
Bruno Silva vacated the title when he signed for UFC. (0-1 in UFC)

M-1 Global Welterweight Championship
Shavkat Rakhmonov vacated the title when he signed for UFC. (hasn't fought yet)

M-1 Global Lightweight Championship
Roman Bogatov vacated the title when he signed for UFC. (0-1 in UFC)

M-1 Global Featherweight Championship
Nate Landwehr vacated the title when he signed for UFC. (1-1 in UFC)

M-1 Global Bantamweight Championship
Sergey Morozov vacated the title when he signed for UFC. (hasn't fought yet)

M-1 Global Flyweight Championship
Aleksander Doskalchuk vacated the title when he signed for UFC. (hasn't fought yet)

I mean, yeah. The UFC is supposedly a joke that doesn't have the top fighters. But M-1 does, when all of their champions are signed to the UFC and the promotion as a whole serves as a talent farm for the them.

And only Volk, who I like, has had success there, and even then he's losing to guys like Lewis and Blaydes in a thin Heavyweight division.

That's not even going into the amount of events the UFC runs. 46 last year, 27 so far this year (in a pandemic). Like yeah, no **** they are the most popular promotion with MMA fans.
