The ATG Teams General arguing/discussing thread

just checked, looks like Root has 6 hundreds on Bumrah.

surely the record for one ATG bat vs one ATG bowler.

Red

The normal awards that everyone else has
Bedi is surprising.
It’s the one I thought about the most. When I couldn’t have Murali or Warne, or OReilly or Grimmett, it came down to Bedi or Underwood I guess. Maybe Laker? Shakib for an extra all rounder might be ok. Then I guess there’s Ashwin or Jadeja. Lyon? Aubrey Faulkner? In hindsight Tayfield might also be a good shout.

PlayerComparisons

International Captain
Lara scored 6 hundreds against McGrath which is pretty great since those attacks also had Warne, Gillespie, and Macgill.

He was probably owned by McGrath if just looking at their head to head averages though.

Some other names to consider (I know Bumrah is ranked higher by people now, but I went down to where he was ranked in the bowlers poll - final list here

McGrath - 6 tons Lara
O’Reilly - 6 tons Leyland
Pollock - 6 tons Ponting
Verity - 8 tons Bradman
Walsh - 6 tons Waugh
Grimmett - 6 tons Hammond
Tayfield - 8 tons Harvey

Anderson’s also got 7 with Graeme Smith, and 6 each with Amla and Clarke.

Davidson and Barnes never had a player score more than 2 tons against them.

Karunaratne's retirement really weakened the opening options, but Ravindra opens in 1st class.
