This might seem like an odd selection at first but I'm choosing John Wright. Although he averaged only 37.8 throughout his entire career, Wright's average post 1990 was a daunting 55.4. He also scored five of his twelve test centuries in his 18 tests in the 1990s.

juz the contrast between Sehwag and Atherton's ways.. Athers rate was like a run an over.. Sehwag would be on about 300 by the time Athers reaches 80s...
