T20I draft

JOJOXI

International Vice-Captain
Thinking of doing a T20I draft if there is sufficient interest. Wouldn't be looking to start until Thursday evening (UK time) at the earliest. Somewhat flexible on numbers looking for anywhere between 8-12 players roughly.

Rules would be as below
* At least 4 players in each squad with debuts from 2005 to 31 December 2009
* At least 5 players in each squad with debuts from 1 January 2010 to present day.
* All Players must have played at least one International T20
* All squads must have at least 8 International teams represented with no more than 2 players in each squad from the same International team

- In the case of players who have represented more than one nation in T20 Internationals - their nation in this context will be the nation they most recently represented.

Let me know if you want to participate and feel free to ask any questions.

Going to give it another day or two hopefully a couple more participants by then to take it to 8 and then start the draft posting first 2 rounds and allowing new entrants until the end of Round 1 - in case of new entrants they'd go to end of Round 1 draft order.

Cricketer Of The Year
I would have been in but I'm away on a couple of golfing trips in the next fortnight and I avoid the net and simply socialise during the time I'm away.

In.

Kind of agree with Himannv. We rarely play T20I drafts and it's good to have one with less restrictions. A player from min 8 teams and no more than 2 from same team sounds good. Beyond that there should be flexibility.

Main reason for it was to have a mix of mini-eras and so there wouldn't be a draft that veers heavily towards squads with 8/9players who have made their name in Tests in 90s, played 1 T20 at the back end of their career and are effectively being judged on T20 through their style in Test cricket but didn't want to be as restrictive as saying minimum 5 or 10 T20Is played.

Willing to change restrictions to just minimum 8 nations and maximum 2 players from any national team in squad along with minimum 1 T20I played if that is preferred though.

Thoughts? Presuming no comment means not fussed either way. Will see what views are last thing tonight (UK time) - will be asleep pretty late so should hopefully give those who may be asleep right now the chance to give their views.

Will then post draft orders for first 2 rounds last thing tonight too - no timeouts in first 16 hours, then 8 hours per pick after that

You've got a point there. Am not fussed either way.
