Squad options:

Mark Greatbatch, Javed Miandad, Mohammad Shahzad, Maninder Singh, Umar Akmal, George Lohmann, Mark Ealham

Immense batting and some of the bench options aren't too bad either. Still tinkering a bit with the batting order - not sure if I have the balance right.

Line and Length

International Coach
I believe I win Colin Munro with my last $.

I concentrated on players with T20 and ODI experience and, towards the end, was aiming almost exclusively at T20 options. I may have wasted some early bids on ODI players with ordinary run rates (Gooch and Smith) though Caddick won be over with an ODI bowling economy rate similar to that of Joel Garner.

Allowing for the fact that I have to omit an Australian and Indian player in the early rounds, I'm excluding Faulkner and Dhawan from this possible starting XI:

S.Watson
A.Finch
Mohammad Rizwan
V.Richards
G.Maxwell
I.Botham
Imad Wasim
D.Vettori
Umar Gul
Saeed Ajmal
S.Badree

Remaining squad: J.Faulkner, S.Dhawan, G.Gooch, R.Smith, Inzamam-ul-Haq, A.Caddick, M.Guptill, C.Munro

The team has plenty of T20 experience and Richards and Botham would readily adapt to the shorter game. Plenty of bowling options/variety.
Still thinking about one less bowler and including Inzamam.

The squad size blew out a bit, which meant I didnt have to bat Warner out of position at 3. I still have big innings potential from my top 4, then big hitting at 5 & 6. Two high quality spin options plus a wide selection of pace bowlers make a very strong first xi and squad too.

I feel ODI ATGs Jones, Kapil, Holding, Saqlain & Warne would all be able to adapt very well. Jonty is a specialist fielder as 12th man, Kanhai will be my reserve keeper (he kept in 3 tests early on in his career). Tate or Shadab can come in if I decide I need to lengthen my batting.

Why bat an opener at 3 and open with Sobers?

Faf at 4 seems wrong. But rest of that side is magic for T20s. Perhaps a 4th seam option would be missed if people get after Steyn and Holding in the powerplay, but otherwise, just the sheer quality of players in your side is amazing. Very well drafted. (y)
