What I want to know is how are you supposed to get fat eating fruit

Surely it was more of the wild boar alluded to earlier. Can picture Ranatunga chewing on a boar leg like King Henry
it is carbohydrates make you fat more than oils and fats. Jakfruit has more than 80% of dry weight consisting of carbohydrates.

What you eat is technically irrelevant to whether you gain or lose weight. It's purely a matter of calorie balance, ie. how much you eat.

Of course other factors affect your calorie input (which is half the equation) like palatability, compliance to a diet, calorie density etc.

But essentially gaining weight is purely a function of energy balance (first law of thermodynamics). Doesn't matter what you're eating, if you are in a calorie surplus you will gain weight. Even if it's all fruit. btw fruit is full of sugar anyway has plenty of calories
What happened to TJB?

Depends on where they play. Hadlee route them in NZ. Murali do the same in SL
Murali and Vaas sent them packing in NZ too. Malinga was causing havoc too. 3 matches in NZ, 3 in SL, I would go for 3-2 for SL.

Yeah but thy would be going against Crowe and Williamson neither of whom were there when Murali, Malinga and Vaas played them. I can't fathom New Zealand with Hadlee and Bond losing to SL at home with a strong batting line up.

Has to be considered as a batsman who averages 40 then while keeping wickets and batting at #3.

Crowe did play against Murali in 92/93 series scored a century and Murali bowled him first ball in the other innings. The way NZ batsmen were losing it against Malinga, I am very positive that he would suceed. Malinga at his pomp was hitting 157k, that too in NZ. We may not win the series in NZ, but probably will go down 2-1 or 2-0. NZ with what ever batting lineup likely to get a 3 - 0 drubbing on spinning wickets where Murali and Herath / Mendis will cause havoc and Vaas and Malinga once they starts to get reverse swing.

sometimes nz win in SL

I would have to check 2006 but SL don't get close here nowadays.

im sure someone shoulda coulda woulda and here's some graphs why but they did not.

i rate our side slightly better, albeit SL have by far the best batsman in Sangakkara and arguably the best bowler in Murali.

it would be an interesting pair of series though, and potentially affected by grounds and month toured. SL often host NZ during the monsoon months which is good fun if you like stupid swing bowling but probably not ideal for an SL side looking to keep their advantage. Likewise, Mahela isn't being allowed near an attritional spinny road like Mt Maunganui after Christmas.

If playing against NZ, Jayawardane out, and Gurusinha in. Ranatunga out and Samaraweera in.

Guru and Sam averages 59 in NZ.

Nah, we'll just pick Stephen Fleming in SL where he averaged over 100 and owned Murali. Hadlee will do the rest

That was a single match out of zillion meetings. Murali averages 22 against NZ in SL. Hadlee never bowled to a decent SL batting lineup, still being excellent, I doubt he could average 15 against a modern SL side. Herath on otherhand, had destroyed modern NZ batting lineups on home soil. I don't know what NZ sides were strong in batting when comparing 00s and 10s.
