It is all personal choice - if someone wished to smoke then that is their choice.
It is - but it's a damn regrettable one and anyone dear to me I'll do my utmost to stop them doing so.

So you don't smoke and don't like smoking, have a medal.

In the mean time keep your views on what people can do to themselves to yourself, because it is 100% a personal choice, and if they want to do it, who are you to say they can't?

Hahaha yeah I did.. the funny thing was that they were face down and he thought they were something else, like a car magazine or something.

"Oops! No they're not"

And what's all this about a plethora of the Aussies smoking? Is there any evidence of that? That'd be a massive surprise to me.

Ya, it takes a long time to recover though

Here is the list http://quitsmoking.about.com/cs/afterquitting/a/after_quitting.htm

As much as I used to enjoy these cancer sticks, I feel free of guilt now

All credit goes to awareness in North America, they are on ur back constantly with a gun to quit...every cig packs in Canada are required to have pics of the effects of smoking

For eg.,

..pity my freinds in India still do in addition to eating those "betel nuts"

How old are you sehwag and how much do you weight?Smoking effects a person who is older and is over weighted faster then a person lets say 20 that weights around 140.

It's surprising how many cricketers do smoke, what with all that running and fielding. But, there is a large number of smokers so obviously some play pro cricket.

I'm someone who says "I don't want you to die a premature and often horrible death".
I don't say they "can't", but I do try to discourage it.

And it never fails to amaze me, given the emphasis on fitness (and often the counterproductive emphasis on certain areas).

kris srikkanth used to smoke a lot....doubt if too many members of the current indian team smoke....
That picture of Kapil holding the World Cup and Srikkanth smoking behind him was one of the most disappointing moments of India's cricketing history. Hopefully they'll edit that picture. Never promote bad habits.
