Look, if you can't understand how great Miandad was you need to watch and read more about cricket. But we can carry this on via pm as this is the wrong thread for it.The original quote wasn't mine.I was just saying that this doesn't limit the number of players to 13. And yep he doesn't deserve to be in the atg XI. Not sure exactly what you are trying to prove with some random good stat about Miandad.
No it's not. Age was only a slight point I mentioned. Good try thoughRahane's more than 2 years younger than Shafiq, who's in his prime and probably unlikely to get much better. Isn't that the logic you use to take Root above Kohli?
Also, for Shafiq he has made himself a number 6 specialist, scored more runs and I think centuries than Sobers at the position too. I feel he's made an art form out of batting with the tale, especially considering Misbahs performances have been invisible of late.
Rahane isn't a number six, he has 7 matches there whereas Shafiq has 46 tests.
Anyway, this isn't a comparison thread so I have no idea why you and the others would bring up Rahane. This is about how important Shafiq's contributions have been in the last 7 or 8 test series. 7 of which Pak were unbeaten. Averaging 60+ at that position, scoring centuries while batting with the tail, it's immense stuff.
I assume you mean persevere lolI would perverse with Sami Aslam, compact tidy opener who is only going to get better.
But so would I. The guy came in from the cold for the England series and just looked world class. This is where man management comes in, especially from that oath Arthur who should be giving the kid confidence that he has a career as Pakistani opener rather than releasing statements that "no one is safe in the side".
