Semi-final composite sides

theegyptian

International Vice-Captain
So lets have your combined England/NZ XI and combined Australia/Pakistan XI from the current squads and for the current conditions.

Red_Ink_Squid

Cricketer Of The Year
A combined XI across all 4 sides:

Rizwan+
Buttler
Babar*
Moeen
Malik
Livingstone
Mitchell
Wasim
Hazelwood
Boult
Afridi

That gives a world class top 3 then quality slogging down to 8. That batting depth covers for the three quicks who all bat at 11 for their national sides. Bowling wise the team boasts 3 top seamers, 3 different types of spin plus Mitchell's mediums if things get desperate/funny. I should probably have picked a specialist leggie since all 4 sides each have one who has done well in the tournament but, hey, the side's got Liam Livingstone.

Pup Clarke

Cricketer Of The Year
Babar
Buttler
Rizwan
Maxwell
Phillips
Malik
Livingstone
Shadab
Southee
Rashid/Zampa
Hazlewood

SSA stiff to miss out. Shadab Khan very underrated imo

Eng/NZ xi

Buttler, Guptill, Conway, Bairstow, Ali, Livingstone, Santner, Jordan, Sodhi, Southee, Boult

or

Buttler, Guptill, Conway, Bairstow, Morgan, Livingstone, Ali, Jordan, Sodhi, Southe, Boult.

Definites - Buttler, Bairstow, Boult?
Fast bowling is kinda average. Other than Boult I don't really fancy any of the pacers in the squad.
Southee actually has a really good record in Asia. Jordan last spot for death bowling, dynamic fielding and lower order batting. Feels bad selecting him but lack of death options ugh.
Guptill probably in.
Did have WIlliamson but swapped him out for Conway to break up the right handers at top of order.
Phillips hasn't really done it in Asia yet. Went with him originally but then went with Livingstone to bat 6. Livingstone offers another bowling option.
Rashid and Sodhi similar career stats both overall and in Asia. Rash tends to be slightly more economical, Sodhi tends to takes his wickets slightly cheaper. Probably Sodhi.
