Simon how did u get ure team so good? was it cause of the early Draft Picks or did u trade well? i wouldve thought trading holland would bring you a few good players? explain lol
im a genius :p
no honestly, i looked for smart pick ups and mainly one form players early on and used the draft to pick up the extras i needed...

Markus Makes Bold Predictions about Season 7 and Comes out Swinging

I personally believe that my side Western Province will win the division 1 four day title this year. Simple as that. Without doubt I feel that after 3 straight seasons of promotion and only having lost 5 games in the past 30 that we are primed to beat our big rivals in Division 1.

ACT and Somerset will be soft targets. They've spent the last two seasons playing against sub-par teams and racking up big scores. Welcome to the real world.

QLD, Kent, SA and Lancashire are all a dying breed unfortunately. I feel that all are well past their former glory and have failed to come out and be as strong as they once were.

Karnataka and Hampshire are lucky to be here. They wouldn't even be contesting these trophies if it weren't for the rearranging of divisions. I've tipped Hampshire for relegation and I think that'll definately happen. Whilst Karnataka have been my bogey team of late, they are much weaker now and will struggle against us.

TN and Warwickshire are regarded as being the other two major threats... Andrew's trying to play the underdog card in 4 day, so as to have an excuse when his side finish third, and Kurt'll struggle to put 22 good games together.

We've got added batting depth this year, greater potency with the ball, and one of the best WCC arounds...

Bring it on guys... The WCC trophy will be WP's. :@ :@ :@ :@ :@ :@

Sounds like Ian is trying to convince his players that they can win it, when the truth of it is that they will be the ones who struggle..

Somerset and ACT playing Sub par teams... HAHAHA i will admit that our opposition hasnt been strong but you can only play whats in front of you, and I know my team is the strongest its been EVER!!!!

Bring it on B!atch.....

McNamara Fronts Up Barbados

Looking bleary eyed, and smelling of rum, Jack McNamara held his first press conference since taking over as the Manager of Barbados. Trying to answer as few questions as possible, McNamara expressed his delight in getting the position, and looked forward to the season ahead. He then named his planned Four Day side, although had to be reminded afterwards that he had Y Engineer at his disposal, saying he was not aware of any trade at this time.

"I have reason to believe I was otherwise occupied last night, or any time during the previous 24 hours when the trade might have occurred. I have a lot of faith in my support staff."

The team that McNamara is looking at employing is:
  • K. Slater (Ave 44.3)
  • C. Hem Kumar (Ave. 41.3)
  • E. Joyce (Ave. 47.38)
  • I. Pearson (50)
  • A.B. DeVilliers+ (Ave 48.1)
  • S. Kotak (Ave. 42.7)
  • K. Pieterson* (Ave. 41.6)
  • J. Remmington ([Ave 26][SR 37])
  • L. Jewell (SR 37)
  • H. Venkat (SR 40.5)
  • P. Norman (SR 41.4)

Looks like Divison One in both forms is going to be something special, with FC probably going on hell of contest, with some great sides coming up against each other. Here the Colts squad list of Season 7. Tim Darden will captain the Colts and Kenny Andrews will act as vice captain. IMO we have a very balanced OD side that if they play to their ability we should take all before them. FC is probably not that great, but a lot better then last season. We are probably going to rely a lot on a handful of player. If we don't get big season from Alwis, Darden, Mudugalle and Elxey we might struggle.

I don't think I've ever said that...

It'll be an interesting team, I don't think many teams on paper are better than TN (and I don't think SOmerset are) because of P Kumble. While you may look at it and think 2 guys on 40 and one 42, P Kumble's econ will be a hgue asset and if he performs (like he did last year, where he only had a better current strike rate than career strike rate of about 4!) he'll average int he teens.

Also my batting is probably the best in the game and if Holland steps up it will be good.

One thing I know, I'm certainly not the best team in the division, but the best teams are only ahead of my by the slimmest margin and the teams just behind me are also only JUST behind me. Should be a very interesting season!

woah you're batting's so much weaker than I thought? Oli Hutchinso would be my grade batsman who came and gave my bowlers some extra practice in the nets.
