After consulting his family, friends and religious advisers, he's not going to retire.

What do people think of that? Bit of a shock, but if he can still do it, why give up?

Yeah, I think it's good that he's staying. Pakistan need his class in essentially what is a "young boys" team.

It's similar to India's situation 2 years ago. All the new guys jumped aboard and Tendulkar, Ganguly, Dravid, Srinath and Kumble stuck around developing the younger ones and the team.

Same thing for Pakistan, if all the old and experienced guys stick around for a while, in some time the younger ones will be developed enough to carry the team on their own shoulders.:P

Actually the one who adviced Anwar not to retire were the old guards in Waqar,Akram and Lateef , who seems to have ganged up against the PCB boss!
