Wilt was a giant among giant. Just look him and Shaq next to each other. Shaq makes everyone look small except when he stood next to Wilton Norman Chamberlain. Then average height has barely changed at all. They get to play with bums lot more now or in MJ’s time they did at Wilt’s time.
Average NBA height is a whopping 1.5cm higher than when Wilt played currently. (peak height was in 1987)

So I don’t consider Lebron an undisputed number 2 (Wilt, Magic and Bill Tussell).

whereas when you consider ODI cricket which to the typical fan is weighted equally with tests Sachin is clearly top 3 and has a case for 1.

Case for 1 in what?? There is no way Sachin has a case over Bradman?? or Sobers?? That’s nonsense.

That’s like saying including T20s and saying someone like Kohli is better than guys like Richards, Sachin and having a case for 1.

ODIs have been around longer than the modern NBA. In this comparison they count.

In the NBA/American sport a major part of greatness is measured in Championship rings and being a part of teams that built dynasties. Le Bron got 4 rings, while Sachin only won one World Cup. It would be better to compare Le Bron and McGrath or Gilchrist.

Virat Kohli & Muttiah Muralitharan - They won the one day world cup but it was in the early stages of their career

Agree with you. Peak Jonah was the most dominant sports person I've seen in a team sport and he never won a RWC
Were the rest of the All Blacks just scrubs at that point? Is that why he stood out so much? Hard to believe that they went 24 years without a WC win.

Nah they were still pretty good. Had food poisoning and only lost in extra time against a very SA team in 95, and got beaten by an inspired French team playing incredible rugby that we'd thrashed a few months earlier in 99 in a semifinal.

The 96 ABs who won a series in SA without Lomu is one of our greatest ever.

Go to YouTube and watch clips of Lomu at his peak. He looked amazing ala Warne and Tiger Woods at their best. You just know something amazing is going to happen.

Oh I’ve seen them, I was honestly just surprised seeing that you guys didn’t win a WC with him.
