Quality control draft

Teuton

International Captain
Everyone else has a 27-31 bowler so I will finish my team with Chandrasekhar

Teutonic Knights XI

Geoffrey Boycott
Desmond Haynes
George Headley
Vijay Manjrekar
Kapil Dev
Ted Dexter (c)
Adam Gilchrist
Jack Gregory
Alan Davidson
Clarrie Grimmett
Bhagwath Chandrasekhar

Very happy with how my team panned out. The nature of the draft lended itself to utilising allrounders as much as possible so even though Kapil is batting a spot too high, it was worth using some creativity to get a genuine 5-star attack with dual spinners Grimmett and Chandra who could succeed without depending on favourable conditions coming on after 3 fast bowlers in Davidson, Gregory & Kapil. Boycott and Haynes would provide solidarity and strokeplay respectively to lay a foundation for Headley. Manjrekar, Dexter, Gilchrist were all batting stars too (without compromising keeping) and would be well supported by Kapil, Gregory and Davidson so batting depth is excellent.

Thanks to mr mister for the great idea and and to him and others for helping out when they did too.

Cricket Web: All-Time Legend
since both kallis and anktji have bowlers under 23, I'll take Joel Garner. not bad for a round 11 pick

Trumper
Gooch
Ponting
May
Fry
Hooper 5
Dujon +
Benaud 4 *
McDonald 3
Waqar 2
Garner 1

my all-rounder is a weaker 5th bowler than most, but my 31+ bowler is probably stronger than most

Im proud of the batting

My round XI pick won't clash with kingkallis and ankitj

Carpetbaggers

Andy Flower (wk)
Shaun Pollock (23-27)

Bowling order:

Fred Trueman - spearhead
Shaun Pollock - controller

Marvin Atapattu
Archie MacLaren
Herbie Taylor
Brian Lara
Neil Harvey
Aubrey Faulkner
Alan Knott
Tim Southee
Harold Larwood
Dennis Lillee
Muttiah Muralitharan

Don't think I made my 'weaker' picks count apart from Larwood. Still decent enough though.

I think AZH and TBP have both picked a 31+ bowler, so I'll finish with Harbhajan Singh:

Jack Hobbs
Alec Stewart
Tom Hayward (7)
Ranjitsinhji
Doug Walters (6)
Clyde Walcott+
Imran Khan* (2)
Ian Botham (3)
Ray Lindwall (1)
Harbhajan Singh (5)
Bill O'Reilly (4)

The Battlers Prince

International Vice-Captain
AZH already has a batsman from the 45-50 so I'll take KP to bat in the middle order next to Ding Dong.

1. Arthur Shrewsbury
2. Jimmy Cook
3. Kumar Sangakkara
4. Kevin Pieterson
5. Ian Bell
6. Charlie Macartney (5)
7. Brendon McCullum*+
8. Lance Klusener (3)
9. Hugh Tayfield (4)
