Below are the squads to consider. Just a disclaimer this was an auction rather than a traditional draft so bear that in mind - some squads as a result have incredible depth in some areas and not so much in others (there was no limit the amount of players you could buy before pruning your squad to a final XI). Not suggesting lack of balance should be ignored in any way but just some context behind the setup of auction.

Weldone XI:

1. Geoffrey Boycott
2. Alastair Cook
3. Rahul Dravid *

For sake of balance will remove 1 vote from participants who don't vote (in tallying up process) just to ensure we don't end up with a scenario where someone wins because they didn't vote but 2nd place did. The poll is set to end in 9 days time. The person with the most votes win, in the event of a tie will host a seperate vote including those 2 to determine the winner.

Many thanks to the participants and there is in my opinion an interesting array of teams all pretty evenly matched. Intrigued who goes on to win as could see a case for all the sides.

I prefer balance over just an aspect like strong bowling unit or batting line up or a very good gloveman. AndrewB gets my vote for having that balance.

A long-ish tail made me consider for quite a while and would say his batting is slightly bettered by 1 or 2 teams (marginally), but yep that bowling attack, could make a case for saying he has the 3 best bowlers ever joined with Trueman.

Quite a few teams would've voted for if one player was different - e.g. Andrew B if Cairns was replaced by an ATG bowler. Trundler just missing a better spinner imo. Having gone away and looked back whilst I would've kept my vote the same KingKallis's squad looks better then it did when I first looked at it.

Magrat Garlick struggled for middle order batsman, minus the 3-5 liked the XI and HB - think he'd have been a strong contender for my vote with a few changes (amongst the squad he collated) - MacGill for Underwood and Michael Clarke for KP for me personally, Amla as a number 3 doesn't get me as excited as other number 3s but may well be that my perception improves with time and a bit of recency bias with him declining a bit is playing a role.

For me made it largely a battle between Weldone and Ataraxia - rated Hayden as the top opener of the 4 marginally but Boycott and Cook the better opening pair. Dravid edges Williamson for me with Smith and Tendulkar pretty much even. Sangakarra over Flower with both as specialist bats.

Skipping over number 6 and 7 for now, Weldone has a great seam attack but Ataraxia's is even better for me and Murali trumps Chandrasekhar by a decent distance. Weldone does have the depth of a 2nd spinner but even still I'd have Murali over both Jadeja and Chandrasekhar.

Jadeja beefs up the batting slightly for Weldone in comparison to Ataraxia although Healy does average marginally higher then Jadeja at number 7.

Then for number 6 - Waugh over Gilchrist in terms of batting, Gilchrist adds keeping and the opportunity to play the 2 spinners but think Murali is a big factor and Healy probably trumps Gilchrist as a pure keeper too. Was a very close pick for me though with it largely coming down to batting v bowling

Ataraxia managed to get 3 platinum/elite/S tier pacers + Murali so he was always going to be right up there. Not light on batting either so he's the clear #1 to me.

AndrewB and ataraxia the clear standouts.

I've voted for two cos the poll gives us options to do so. Hope that was what you intended @JOJOXI
Initially was thinking of having top 2 and then another vote between finalists - so was going to have 2 votes each but didn't change it back to 1 - so a mistake on my part.

FTR it's not possible to change back down, only up. Presumably for poll integrity reasons

Whatever it takes!!!
I think I should win for the sheer fact that I could play a quadrangular with the guys I picked and no one else could. Strength in numbers, y'all.
