Test has started!!

Sedate start. Masvaure 0 (18) and the more aggressive Kasuza 0 (16) at the crease.

the BCB's recent antics means the BD side is probably not in the best mental space for this Test. Golden opportunity for Zimbabwe to pull off an upset.

Mehidy Hasan has been dropped too

Anyone know if the Zimbabwean cricketers are finally getting paid now? PEWS?

Mehidy hasn't technically been dropped as he didn't play the last Test. Run Rate of 0.92 is slow going.

Say what you will about Zimbabwe, but they know how to produce opening batsman that can absorb deliveries. This Prince fella is close to facing more balls in the past 4 weeks than the likes of Markram did in 2 years of test cricket (15 test innings).

Abu Jayed is a proper medium pacer. Short run-up, not too much effort in the action, bowling in long sleeves.

Nayeem's a decent offie.

Watched a bit today. Pitch was batting friendly mostly except the first hour or so. Getting them six down was bonus. Nayeem looks good for tests.

Ebadat has no pace or swing. I dont know what he’s doing in test setup. He’s supposed to be clocking 140s or atleast around the mark what I heard before him bursting into the scene. Looks pedestrian.

We have lost six tests in a row and the last four were by huge margin. Things around and inside the camp not going well. BCB president is very enthusiastic and has deep cricket knowledge but his problem is that he tries to interfere in the team planning and position. Its a one man show now in BCB. Before this series he said the team has to inform him about the batting positions from now on before the games and cannot change those which is absurd.

Isn't he(BCB president) the relative of the Prime Minister?

It gets a bit authoritative, by the looks of things.

He’s very close to PM as his parents sacrificed a lot for the ruling party and himself being member of parliament. When the players called strike most people thought he’d be removed. But he continues.

Whatever it takes!!!
Bangladesh and Pakistan are moving towards cricketing dictatorship within their countries. I hope it is all sorted out sooner than later.

Unless there are a few decent slogs Bangladesh in control. Kenya is experimenting with cricket nihilism
