kemar roach as well. short, slow, not the biggest mover of the ball. youth coaches would tell him to bowl offies but no, he has 200 wickets @ 27 bowling right arm medium fast and still has a few years left to get 250 - 300 wickets.

great series from the windies after all the selection drama. going forward id like to see..

1. brathwaite
2. not sure
3. pooran
4. blackwood
5. bonner
6. mayers
7. da silva
8. holder
9. cornwall
10. roach
11. gabriel

12. chemar holder

time for blackwood to get some responsibility as the windies best specialist batsman. it's a shame chase is bad because with the shaky batting and good but not the best bowling the triple allrounder combination gives serious batting depth to #8 plus 4 pacers and two spinners to eke out every 0.1% from the players available. not to be unfortunately.
Agreed with this but starting to see others viewpoint that Pooran should come in lower.

I also think we need to come up with a succession plan for the fast bowlers. Roach and Gabriel probably have a couple of years left and at the moment we're not giving Alzarri or Chemar any run of games to understand their role and get some experience.

With that in mind I think they need to start rotating the seamers more and give Roach or Gabriel a rest occasionally. Otherwise we will have a really inexperienced attack in 2 years time.

They also need to arrange A team cricket and invest in the likes of Anderson Phillips, Preston McSween, Nial Smith, Marquino Mindley, Romario Shepherd and Keon Harding. I hope they are thinking proactively.

In fairness recent A team series v India and England and named a strong side for a warm up v England that was damaged by it not having FC status - seems like they are doing more on the A team front than other nations.

I would keep the batting as it is personally, perhaps move Bonner up to 3 at a push but whilst it is just 1 series I wouldn't want to potentially ruin a promising performance by rejigging the batting order any more then necessary. I suspect Campbell will open in the next series although that spot is a bit up for grabs. Then either Pooran/Hetmyer/someone else at 3 and Boinner at 4 or vice versa
