Its a huge run, and amazingly, in this time Rafa has not won a title (hasn't won a title since the French). Obviously Rafa has made lots of finals but still, that is a very big drought from Rafa

Wonder how Fed will go in Miami this week (he's played a lot of tennis lately - Rotterdam, Dubai and Indian Wells).

Yeah, Federer has won his last 6 finals, and actually 11 of his past 14 finals dating back to Cincinnati in 2010, whereas Nadal has lost 9 of his past 12 finals dating back to the 2010 World Tour Finals. It just goes to show what a barrier Nadal and Djokovic have been from Federer racking up Margaret Court like Grand Slam numbers, and I guess it also shows that the hard courts while never Nadal's best surface are where he's started to slow down.

Ranking points after US Open (so with 3 slams removed)

1.Federer 6035, 2 Murray 3225, 3.Djokovic 3100, 4.Ferrer 2945, 5.Tsonga 2665, 6.Nadal 2520.

Even if RF just makes 3 SFs he's in pretty good shape to be #1 at this rate...

It was a pretty entertaining game.

It all boiled down to Federer not being able to break Roddick at 0-40 in the second game of the third set. After that, Roddick hit some booming forehands to break Federer in the next game. Federer's body language was poor after that. He was angry over some call a linesman made. It was a neat moment for Roddick.

For some reason I thought his loss to A-Rod in Miami before this year was 2010 or something. Not 2008.

A-Rod follows his stellar effort vs. Fed by losing to Juan Monaco in straight sets the next day, including getting bagelled in the second set

Rafa in strife vs. Tsonga. Served for the match in the 2nd, was broken, broken again, and now in a bit of trouble in the 3rd.

ffs, had match point and now is down break point.

Learn to serve out a match Rafa ffs. If 19 year old Rafa could do it, 25 year old Rafa should.
