Awesome performance from Hurk tbf, he beat Cressy, FAA, Kyrigos and Medvedev to win this week.

I dunno if he can win Wimbledon, but if he gets to the quarter finals then who knows?

Another win for Berr' ,,,,only downside is the players he beat this week are relatively low quality, those are not the type of opponents he will be fortunate enough to draw in a second week of a slam.

On the ladies side, Maia another grass win , AVT beat noted Grass specialist Errani in Italy and Jabeur beat Bencic who probably is dead because i jinxed her because I bet her for Wimbledon.

Interesting to see how girls like Riske, AVT, Zheng and Maia do at Wimbledon, these grass courters generally do bomb somewhat at this slam sadly.

it doesn't matter in the least because neither is beating djokovic at wimbledon...

Haddad Maia playing this week is a surprise especially the doubles also

She's going to lose in the 1st round to Katie Boutler isn't she ?

are you a big fan? i barely know who she is...
Ha, to be honest I knew very little about her until a few weeks ago which makes this run on the grass circuit so wild.

She does seem to have a really nice grass game, but as its the WTA she probably under performs at Wimbledon and we never hear from her again.

Everyone loves WTA randomness!

The UK events for both men and ladies on the grass circuit have been low on quality sadly. Both tours don't have much depth but obviously Germany financially more attractive and supposedly some were worried about losing ranking points.

All over for BHA , as Kvitova ends the reign of terror.

Wouldn't it be lovely if Petra could roll back the years and win her 3rd slam? However she is destined for a third round loss as always. ?

Looking at the men's draw for wimbledon and been lazy and just looking at betting odds,,,,,

Novak in Q1 the next favs in that quarter are Alcarez, Murray, Sinner , Isner and that random Dutch kid who won an event the other week.

Then projected to meet one from Hurkacz, Norrie, Dimitrov, Bublik, Ruud or Tiafoe in a semi final.

Hurkacz is a beast but its seems like a kind draw?

Nadal on the other side has ended up on same quarter as Cilic, Kyrigos, FAA and erm Cressy while Berrettini's main concerns are Kyrigos, Tsitsipas, De Minaur, Shapo to name just a few.

djokovic and hurkacz will most likely come through their quarters, i don't think anything other than an in-form cilic or a significant flare-up of his foot injury can stop nadal from coming through his and tsitsi or shapovalov could stop berrettini in their quarter...in the end though all speculation is moot because you know who will win...

Utterly bizarre match that Fokina v Hurkacz, Fokina served for the match in the third set was 40-0 up did a tweener which went wrong and then Hurkacz started playing somewhat respectable tennis went on the charge, served for the match blew that, was 7-4 up in match tie break and lost 10-8. Whoops .

Alcaraz was in a fun five setter v Struff , Spainard needs time to figure out the grass but their was some really good stuff from him today,,,served 30 aces.

Also, clutch in the 4th set tie break when Struff was 2-0 and could have gone 3-0 up if he won this....

Of course she lost in the 1st round.

Ah well, the grass season starts again in 11 months so something for her to look forward to.

Nice win for Emma over fellow grass court specialist AVU tbf.

Trivia question (IDK the answer, but maybe someone does?)

Yesterday, Andy Murray and Emma Raducanu both played on Center Court. When was the last time two British grand slam winners played on the same day at Wimbledon?

Nick won in the end, famous last words etc,,,,,but he does not have a good enough returning game to win a slam nor can he be trusted to keep it together over 2 weeks mentally...don't see him winning this although with Berr' out is fav to reach a semi final to face Nadal.....scenes if that happens!

regardless of who else is on his side of the draw, the most important question is whether talented nick can consistently beat moronic, douchey nick and get through week 1...

Lovely Jubbly, Jubb taking Kyrgios to a 5th set. Hope he beats the gobby prick.
... 'gobbing' rather than 'gobby', apparently. But it's all fine because the spectator didn't show him enough respect, which, of course, Kyrgios would never be guilty of to anyone.

Anyway, Raducanu's out, which should be no surprise to anyone who's even remotely followed her progress since the US Open. Let's just hope that doesn't inspire Piers Morgan to offer any views on the matter.
