Big LOL at English commies... Losing T20 series to Windies India & now SA. But of course they talk like England have never ever tasted defeat in T20 series. Eco rate almost 15 & they believe they will chase it in last 10.

Well deserved win for SA. Looking strong contenders in Aussie conditions for that WT20.

Yeah, not sure we should be in outright panic mode yet, but this team needs a bit of freshening up in both forms. Salt, Hain, Brook, Gregory, Hollman should all be giving a go certainly in 50 overs. Roy has to go in T20s he's not even got that outstanding a record in it, unlike his 50 over stats.

While Roy the hack has to go but I found it rather annoying commies kept downplaying how SA kept these guys quiet... Like man there was freakin skill set involved & some of these SA players are immensely talented on the field & won't just roll over. And they did it rather easily in the end.
England has a lot of work to do but unless they don't get off their high horse & start admitting they are falling short nothing will change. You won't get flat & small boundaries everywhere & even then good teams can out bat you.
They need to get some young blood out there. Phil Salt was looking great in that debut series in Carribean & deserved a fair bit of run but minnow bashing hack Roy managed to play out the whole summer.

Thing I noticed I heard in the commentary the crowing going on about having 7 bowling options for England, especially in T20 format if 5 of the 7 is absolute pie throwers thats trouble. In all 3 games the England bowlers got pounded like overworked porn stars. You can have 10 bowling option, but if they are rubbish then whats the point

Well in this match they bizarrely chose not to bowl Livingstone, and only bowl Ali for one over. I think Buttler is too reliant on just going for the plans and match-ups, without being a bit flexible. Actually probably wouldn't have mattered here by how awful our batting was. 5 is a bit harsh.

Oh and Sam Curran is a myth, him and Roy need to go, we already have two left-armers. Jordan should only bowl at the end too. That way you can make something of those bowling options.

It is possible though, that they wanted to bowl them simply to see if they're good enough going forward, and in that case, hopefully Curran being omitted from the next squad, may have made this terrible series worth it.

It's almost like they are trying to do their job by making the game seem interesting for as long as possible

I agree that Englands bowling in 20/20 is the worst of the top 8 nationsCurran has always been a trundlerJordan a one over wonderButler such a meek captain.Anybody else would demand change especially Roy who has lost the plot and looks disinterested.Would not have happened with Morgan in charge. butller has led us to 4 series defeats in a rowlCome on Key change it before the world cup

are the english adminstrators hiring their own commentators to talk up their sides ( both men and women) rather than taking on the much tougher task of actually winning the comp ?
certainly true in the womens game anyhow. They couldnt shutup about their vast improvement since dunkleys inclusion in the recent thrasing of the hapless sth africa . As if this somehow put them in the same league as australia.
Newsflash england it doesnt.
i think theyre going to beat you like youre an under 12s team
( and hopefully hit eccleston for a few 6s in the process)
i cant understand why ecclestones lollipops dont get hit for 6 every ball. Does she have BO ? is that what upsets the batters ? it certainly cant be the lollipop coming toward them at 10 kph

I was surprised Ali bowled only 1 over

England's problem is usually that their bowling options just aren't flexible enough. Willey is great at the start, but cannon fodder at the death. Jordan is probably your best option at the death (he'll still go at 10rpo but is more likely to hit a yorker than Willey) and useless outside of it. Topley could probably do both. They could also do with a Plunkett-type in the middle, either Carse or Gleeson but they have to bowl their overs outside of the PP/death as they'll hit the pitch hard and may not have enough variations. Rashid is a given in the middle overs. They'll have six bowlers (seven with Livingstone), so enough room to be flexible.

1-6: 3x Willey, 2x Topley, 1x Ali
7-14 4x Rashid, 3x Carse/Gleeson, 1x Ali
15-20 3x Jordan, 2x Topley, 1x Carse/Gleeson

Smeed, Bairstow, Malan, Buttler, Ali, Livingstone, Willey, Jordan, Rashid, Carse/Gleeson, Topley

Stokes could of course come in, but I think it would be for Malan. Not sure you'd rely on him for more than a couple of overs.
