It is beyond just inept batting though, its the inability of SA batsmen to deal with spin (slow bowling really!) of any sort. Even if Muthusamy and Subrayen are bowling at their best there should be no ways that between them they have taken 15 wickets. And its not just the Titans its across all the teams. Inability to play against even moderately decent spinners has never been so bad in SA domestic structure. Which leaves me to believe there is a fundamental problem with the way batsmen are being taught to play spinners at school, club and the other lower levels. Which comes back to the quality of coaching.

Even if Muthusamy and Subrayen are bowling at their best there should be no ways that between them they have taken 15 wickets.

And it ended up being 19 wickets, which is absolutely ridiculous. Durban might spin more than other grounds in South Africa, but not to that extent.

Well done to the Dolphins! I accept all criticisms of the state of the domestic batting against spin but I'm just chuffed that we are champs.

Subrayen and Muthusamy bowled well. It was a joy to watch them yesterday. But that's with my Dophins-tinted specs. There was no transfer of pressure at all. Tell me why Makhanya is at 6 with his FC record?

Can understand Morris being in demand for T20 cricket but was really hoping Harmer and Abbott would get full contracts.

Looks like the same for Rossouw and Olivier as didn't contracts with Free State. Maybe still hope Olivier gets elsewhere. Or will they be pay-as-you-play.
