I think that burst from Archer is probably going to decide it. Difference between Miller and Jansen (list A high score of 43) too big with half the runs to get.

Overall our attack in this series has been pretty poor though. Curran's turn to be a bit all over the place today it seems. And yeah I fear Mo might be properly done at this stage, despite a nice cameo with the bat today. He's not being trusted to bowl and that mean his spot may as well be Livingstone or someone.

I'm trying the think who we're missing from our first choice attack today. Wood, I suppose. I'm not sure that Willey is much of an upgrade. I must have forgotten someone, surely.

Wood definitely, and Stone looked the best of the seamers before this. Yet Topley has been hugely disappointing.

Thanks for the brainlessness though, Saffies, I know it's not the modern way, but surely you just look to knock a few singles of Archer and feast on the buffet at the other end.

Stone's the one I'd forgotten. Maybe Topley's just having an off day. He was good for us in 2022 wasn't he? Or was that just in T20s?

You could maybe make a case for Jordan. But I would rather Sam Curran just be better than he's shown today, which to be honest he usually is.

Good news is that Archer may well be on the way back up and having at least one of Wood and Stone fit seems likely.

Attack for the world cup is probably Archer, Wood/Stone, Curran, Rashid, Stokes, Livingstone/Root.

To be honest, 3-0 would have flattered us hugely, England have played very good cricket the whole series just been sloppy in patches

Yeah maybe. Being played in India isn't it? One specialist spinner looks odd over there, but I can see the sense in it given the resources at our disposal.

Yes, this one isn't dissimilar to the first game when England's batsmen gave it away when the game was there for the taking. Great to see Archer back. And none of his five wickets have been freebies; all of them were important blokes.

EDIT
Not Shamsi I suppose, but he was entitled to an easy sixth one.

It does to be fair. Maybe one of the new people will get something together in Bangladesh, or p'raps Moeen Ali will make a much better case than he did in this series.

That said, it's ODI cricket at the end of the day. The wickets don't fall apart.

Only the fifth time an England bowler has taken six wickets in an ODI. One of the others was Collingwood, who is the only one not to have played in today's match.
