Well done boys for your performances in the off season. We may not had the results that we wanted, but their was a lot of positivies to come out of it. The middle performanced very well throughout, with Trav being brilliant in DM. Paddy, Manju and Andy look to form a quailty centre three.

Im really happy with Andy's performance in the last couple game, really controlled the midfield. In the last game he has the pass in pretty much all our goals, a near perfect game. The forwards performanced excellent when given enough service, finding the back of the net on regular basic.

The things that i fell we need to work on are our defence, we letting in too many goals. When our midfield does start to control the game, they really need to work on that last pass, we are wasting a lot of good oppurtunities. We need to look to score goals from the midfield and maybe even defence. ATM we are relying too much on our forwards.

But im sure that will all improve over time, really looking forward to the season, i think we can really give it a big push.

We seemed to play a lot better that game and now we need to play like that with more consistency and we'll be challenging the other teams if we can achieve this.

Our best perormance so far. The formation seems to have worked well in that game. We'll have a good season if we continue to play like that.

Game fellas. Looking for to the season opener :D

What's the consensus on aggression here? Tharmi, as captain you happy with my 90 aggression? I'm happy to keep it, but if you aren't i'll dull it down to 80? ;)

End of the day it your choice, im happy for you to continue at 90, if you like. You only got sent off one in four games, but i think you got like three yellows as well. Cus your a DM, not a defender, you might get away with it. It seems the most of the sent off are defenders. Well atleast 2 out of 3 were for us.

Hey Xav would consider droping your aggression below 75/70. Its up to you at the end of day, but i think 89 might be too high for a defender, during the early stages of this comp.

Got to say, I'm taking too long to find my feet IMO. Had a shocker in the last game......:(

I have confidence in the rest of the team to do the job though, we look solid and improvement in reaults should come quickly.

A week to go boys, really looking forward to it. I've decided that i will keep squad discussion pretty open season, allowing you all to have a say. When it comes to tactical stuff the management group will decide that through our emails.

For our first match i've already pretty much decide where everyone going to play. The only think that i haven't decided is who will be our 11th player. Its a choice between three; Ezequiel (22 PS), Hjelde (17 ST) and Kirilov (17 DF).

As you can see Exequiel is the best interms of his raw stats, but our midfield has been playing quite well with Andy, Trav, Manju and Paddy all in pretty good form. Currently he is our 2nd passer in the team, behind Andy, but i expect Manju and Paddy to equal him and eventually pass him pretty soon. I guess we could play him until Manju or Paddy get up to 22 Passing.

Hjelde our young forward from Norway, had a pretty impressive debut scoring a goal in our last game. Playing him allows us to play three forwards. Thamba and Dave have been in ok form, but they are probably a little behind some other forwards in the comp. So playing three forwards might allow them develop their game, with a bit less pressure for them to score everygame.

Kirilov played two games for us in the pre-season, he stuggled in the first game, but i think that was more to do with the tactics we used. The last match he played pretty well and made some important tackles. Our defence hasn't been as strong as I like and maybe playing a back four, might give help our defence out a bit more. Probably my least prefered option, as it very defence move and i rather lose games going after the result, then trying to load back.

The other advantage of Hjelde and Kirilov is that are both young players, 20 & 21 and fit my young policy. We have a very young side, with Trav the oldest at 23, so we a very much looking to build a side for the future.

So what your thoughts on the non CW player in the starting XI?

I think we should start with Ezequiel in the midfield and then maybe halfway through the match bring Hjelde on as an impact player to strengthen our attack.

my passing is just one shy of Manju's .... give me some credit here ;) I'd play three up front, though.... 3 across the back (diamond CB), 4 in the middle (1 DM, 2 MF, 1 AM), 3 up front

Pete, Tharmi, Xav.
Trav, Manju, Paddy, Andy.
Hjedle, Dave, Thamba.

:)
