It's quite surprising Adam Milne wasn't able to make the New Zealand Under 19 world cup team earlier this year considering his early success in domestic cricket. I'm guessing it had something to do with the amount of all rounders in the team though, iirc there were only two fast bowlers in the team that you wouldn't class as all rounders (at that level anyhow).

The hype built up around Centrals young quicks had me watching their first 20/20 game with some eagerness. No one that I saw got close to 14o - Bracewell the quickest around 136ish. Eagerness quickly dissapated.

just seen the highlights on cricket -365.net. milne resembles bond a bit in his action. pace wise no one above mid 130s. mclennagan slower than bracewell and milne who were similar.

McClenaghan is playing for the first time for yonks tbf, and this is coming from me.

No one really knew how quick Milne was, and Bracewell has been clocked in the high 130s in the U19 WC. Bevan Small was as well, his fastest ball was 143kph.

McClenaghan was slow, he probably won't bowl as fast as he once did now. The 2 youngsters looked decent to me. They were a bit more pacey, could maybe gain 5 or so kms each, and looked strong and pretty tidy. Good that Bondage is there helping them out.

I've heard a rumour that Jason Donnelly may be moving up from Canterbury to play for Northern Districts this season. With Bruce Martin apparently leaving for Auckland it makes perfect sense for both parties I guess. Jono Boult's a decent option but he's more of a batsmen and we'll probably see him batting higher up the order this season anyway. Mattie Thomas will probably get a run sometime during the year but they'll probably hold of for abit to see how he performs for the A team.

Jason Donnelly didn't strike me as anything special, but good luck to him. I do wonder how much game time he'll get though considering ND has a good line up of seamers.

I've never seen him bowl before but he has a pretty average record, although he's only played five first class games so....
