***Official*** New Zealand Domestic Season 2014/15

Howsie

International Captain
I'm surprised they didn't send Seifert out earlier, he's a bloody good player of spin. Unlike Mitchell for example who looks like he's playing another terrible innings against a spin dominated team.

Good luck my good friend and former @OtagoVolts Will Somerville in his debut for @CricketNSWBlues today.
Might be his last game for NSW looking at his bowling figures. Any idea how he's ended up there? Good to see a Wellingtonian making it for NSW. Must be some shoddy depth over in the lucky country at the moment.

we could list some wellingtonian club cricketers who would make nsw

they seem to like fitting in as many allrounders and bowlers as they can over there. is karaitiana still playing? how about dewayne?

NSW having 14 players out on International duty probably contributed. No Lyon, no SoK, Manjot Singh wasn't that brilliant when he got tried, so Somerville was probably the best-performing Grade spinner who wasn't Luke Doran or Jason Krejza.

only in this format could a bunch of wobblers be so dangerous. i love how rare and meaningful tons are in T20, but something about extremely defensive no spin spin bowling grinds my gears. it's ok in one dayers where jono boult or whoever would have a chance to get a real crack during the middle overs if they're capable, but here it's straight to ultra-defense.
