Con de lange has qualified for scotland. I had seen him in the north sea thingy scorecards but wasnt aware of his intentions

The irish team will play with a full squad, didnt see this coming :-O Earlier counties werent eager on releasing players except for matches against full members

Joyce has been, probably not surprisingly, dominating the UAE bowlers. 229* from 223 balls so far. The intercontinental record is tendo's 259* so joyce can get there early tomorrow morning

Edit: play starts only at 11am, so not that early in the morning i guess

Is this live cast anywhere? Highlights etc.

Would be keen to do some CW commentary if there is any semblance of a live stream for Intercontinental Cup games.

Not too sure if Ireland tried to up the ante and got bowled in the process. Regardless it's a healthy first innings score. Looking forward to UAE's reply.

And news from the other match: The Scots are enjoying a game of football on the outfield.

Afghanistan picking up a timely wicket just at the nick of tea.

Some weird statements from ACB that they dont see Hamid and the Zadrans as longer version bowlers.

Probably due to fitness more than anything else. Hamid's pretty fragile and I imagine Shapoor will have much the same issues as Mohammed Irfan does.

Clinical performance by Ireland as expected. The way things are going, Ireland will def qualify to play against bottom ranked team in home and away series basis. If they win the challenge, they become 11 Test playing nation without the full membership and can schedule Tests with other full members if I am not wrong. So how long they continue to play without the benefit of being a full member? Probably the clarification of how this system will work is laid down in somewhere but I find it baffling. If Ireland loses the challenge then they proceed to playing Intercontinental Cup again and the cycle continues?

Things are looking bleak for PNG. They can take some heart out of the fact that they restricted Netherlands to 209 as they are all making first class debut here

They definitely restricted the Dutch well. Looks like van der Gugten might just be a class above the level of the PNG batting at this stage. Good to see a number of young local players in the Dutch team.

This Loa Nou went very well for PNG. Any footage of him/this game anywhere?

I know Siaka is comfortably the best opener that PNG have, and an opener by trade, but might the team get more out of him by trying to shield him from the new ball somewhat?

Wow. Great win for PNG against the Netherlands. Unexpected given the low scores throughout the match that the PNG team would put together a 200 run partnership and win their debut first class match. Well played!

Siaka with 49 (35) opening the batting against Dutch Brett Lee, who destroyed them in the first innings. Gun talent.

Probably in the aftermath of the t20 qualifiers.

Kenya 1-0 down to UAE after losing a sensitive toss
