There is some incentive for giving our best at the group stages (we might get NZ or one of the minnows in the QF). Hopefully that'll motivate our boys from the start.

Undoubtedly the strongest group. Eng, India should top the list with SA & WI coming 3rd and 4th.

My Predictions for Group B

My bet will be with SA, India, England and WI in that order. If India gives their best shot they might come out on top; but I don't see England topping this group, even knowing that Swann might play a big role.

I think Bangladesh will cause an upset by beating one of these 4 teams, but WI will just edge past them in NRR or H-T-H or something.

Though SA will lose to a weaker team in either QF or SF, but that's a different story...

Bloody hell, it seems like ages since England performed well (or even beat a decent side) at a World Cup. They've been terrible since '92. Think they'll do pretty well this time.

Fixed

Or at least when it comes to one-day cricket. It's only in the last 15 months or so that they've got their act together.

Rather think we might be slightly dissapointing here. Expectations will probably be higher than they have been in a long time.

India to top the group, Bangladesh 2, SA 3rd, between England and WI for 4th

This opener against Bangladesh can be really tricky. In slow low condition resembling the ones in the WI there is a high chance of an upset. England will be interesting to see. There bowlers were cannon fodder the last time they played ODIs here. Would be interesting to see how much they have improved.

Sachin will top-score and set the match up for India and it will be dismissed as "cheap minnow runs".

Bangladesh to win the whole thing beating the no.1 side in the final. Then go 25 years without another silverware. We have been there ****s!
