*Official* England in South Africa 2019/20

Nortje's consistency with his pace has been so impressive, he's going to be so dangerous if he can develop a little bit of movement.

And as I type he gets Denly out. Time for Root to have a proper captain's knock and take the game out of sight.

Seems a game lad, doesn't he? Good build for a quick too.

Looks like one of those Afrikaner farm boys who spent their teenage years with a hundredweight sack of tobacco in each hand.

For all I know his old man was an accountant and English is his first language, but it's all about appearances, isn't it?

Nice fifty that for Sibley. Could have a handy, productive but pretty horrible to watch opening partnership in Sibley and Burns. You love to see it.

Quietly efficient performance by england this. Around 300 and south africa are not getting it anyway. They've already got maharaj bowling from around the wicket and into the rough.

As far as Rassie goes we knew he had limits, it is why we had reservations in his selection. He will be a stop gap at best. Much like Pretorius.
Feel that's a bit harsh on VDD. To me, Pretorius looks a limited cricketer at test level (in certain conditions can be good) but VDV definitely has upside and has a good temperament

Very good atypical England performance here, slowly grinding out a match winning lead instead of relying on gully cricket from the lower order.

On Rabada, I know this sounds stupid, but I genuinely believe Rabada not being as great as he was a couple of years ago has atleast a little to do with him not being as much of a **** on the field anymore. Probably needs that to get fired up.

I would love for Rassie to turn into the next Faf. Unexpected player that becomes a very good middle order batsmen. But as pointed out by SeamUp, he seems to struggle into getting FC 100's and watching him has a limited game plan. Whether Kallis and Boucher can change that and improve him to be good enough at Test level we shall see.

I know he took wickets but I thought he was poor at Centurion as well. This was always going to happen because the transformation policies mean he has to play every game he’s in need of a break imo.

some seriously contagious laughter happening here hahaha
I was laughing at that too, great time when kp said what is Bairstow looking at here through the binoculars).
Just as the camera man panned to 3 different women in the crowd. The last being a red head lol

Surprising to see either team grind the other out of a game. In any other country it might be a bit dull, but it its a nice change in RSA.
