Another batsmen's nightmare in Pickford, as Masterman and Jamaluddin Hossain ran through the Panthers, with only Adil Dewan remaining firm against the onslaught. He scored 25 not out, adding 20 with the rampant Pickup, as the Panthers posted 117 in their first innings. Dropped catches abounded in both innings, but Neil Pickup and Liam ****erill induced panic as the Tigers
crashed from 95 for 4 to 124 all out. Trailing by 7, the Panthers got a let-off when Richings was dropped by the fallible Jasotharan on 4, and went on to make 45 - courtesy of two more dropped catches. At lunch, the Panthers were 118 for 3, with de Silva and Benjamin well settled. Or so it was thought. But de Silva heaved an ugly cross-batted slog to Malthus-Howell two balls after lunch, and Greg Thomas ran through the lower order as the Panthers lost their last seven wickets for 33 runs. Jasotharan then smashed boundaries at will, bringing up his fifty in forty-nine balls and continuing by smashing Pickup for five fours in the over. Then he was dropped, on 73, and went on to make 87 before inside edging McCrystal. Needing 9 for the last two wickets, with Swann and Thomas in, Thomas found the burden of captaincy too high as he ran a desperate single with the third ball of the partnership. His partner, Swann, was run out with a risky throw to the non-striker's end, leaving nine for the last wicket. Tamara Gould then dropped the new batsman on the first ball, before Masterman faced the last ball from McCrystal and left it alone outside off. Greg Thomas then lasted three balls against Pickup, who finished with four for 28, and the Panthers eked out a six-run victory.

Harry Warwick unfortunately missed the plane to Davistow, but his Darters team-mates still roared through the Jets for 97 in the first innings at Heathridge Oval. Only Rich Hingston withstood the varied bowling, with left-arm pacer Pradeep grabbing three, right-arm Test bowler David Kennett another three, and left-arm spinner Comley another three. Dave Watt was the only one to go off wicketless, while Tharmi Loganathan hit 16 in a heroic ninth-wicket partnership with Hingston. The Darters didn't impress either, except for an opening stand between Dawlat and Langley worth 54 runs. Five players made it into double figures, while five Jets bowlers shared the ten wickets, and the Darters eked out 143 from a mammoth 81 overs. Sean Bennett was the main exponent of the tight bowling, with 20-12-20-2. Then, Pradeep dug out three early wickets, and as the Jets crumbled to 61 for 4 most expected an early stop. But Hingston glued to the crease with Stedman, who banged thirteen fours in a 241-ball century, before Kennett had him lbw for 101. Hingston made 50 as well, while Loganathan thundered three fours in a quick 17 before offering his pads to Watt - Watt's only wicket of the match. The Jets lost their last six wickets for 42, yet made 231, and an over from Bala set the Darters back to 21 for 2. Langley and Naik then glued to the crease while Kearsley hit the runs, and though he was dropped twice, he made it to 60 at lunch as the Darters only needed 77 to win. He went on to make an unbeaten 116, and though few others managed runs, his knock ensured a four-wicket win.

NA Borcich JJ Jadeja
RS Whitehead BM Chattha
Spinners Rai and Whitehead shared out eight wickets as the Braves crashed from 75 for 1 to a rather inadequate 142 at Edfield. Langdon hit 50 for the Braves, but no one supported him after they had fought off a probing new-ball spell from Borcich and Sanders. However, the Seahawks also crumbled, as Mike Wilson's second spell yielded four wickets after Mørk and Towns had added 30 after his opening spell with Heath. Jahangir Masood got four wickets, including Mørk and Rai caught behind, as the Braves racked up a 30-run lead. Borcich then got two wickets with the fourth and fifth ball of the match, before Alex Blackman put on 139 with Hasabnis and 77 with Heath. Despite these mammoth partnerships, Borcich ended with six for 58, but the Braves managed 276 and set a mammoth 307 to win. Or so it was thought. But James glued to the crease for 75, Gaurav Nayak hit ten fours in a blistering 87 that took the Seahawks from 140 for 6 to 240 for 7, before Eddie Sanders anchored the chase and the Seahawks hauled home a three-wicket win.

The Titans were overpowered by a weight of runs from de Grooters, followed by an excellent display of seam bowling. Half-centuries from Lucas, Sukhvinder and Tebbut sent de Grooters to 335 despite all CW players being dismissed for 20 - while Hancock went wicketless for the Titans, and Jack McNamara's figures were saved by the two tail-enders, McKern (bowled for 10) and Mitchell (caught for a golden) to leave him with 34.5-5-114-3. Then, de Grooters' seam bowling roared through the Titans twice - first for 199, when Robbins and McKern grabbed four wickets each and Twyman made 79, and then to 106 for 8 before Hancock hit 54 to set the Grooters somewhat of a target to chase. Mitchell took four wickets in the second innings, and Robbins another four, to end with match figures of eight for 72. Although Cotterill and Brown grabbed three wickets early on to send de Grooters to 20 for 3, that was as close as it got.
