One-Day Semis (apology for the short reports, I accidentally simmed the three-day games instead...)

Semi-Final One: Titans v de Grooters @ Twybridge

Code:
Greater Robbham Grooters	Twybridge Titans
GKK Dobson RJ Twyman
PR Sajith AS Das
Sukhvinder Singh LR Joslin
JW Tebbut HWR Gunn
Z Ghansar CH Bokey
*MJ Robbins JB Brown
CR Palmer +SJ Burke
EE Lucas AJ Buttsworth
JA Finnegan EC White
+TPA Jervis RB Cotterill
MT Mitchell *JP McNamara
The Titans fell to 172 after an initial opening stand of 56, as Zaid Ghansar's medium pace yielded five for 34, despite healthy innings of 44 from Rich Twyman and 34 from Jonathan Brown. Das and Burke also passed 20, but most succumbed to Ghansar, or if not to Finnegan (2-24), Mitchell (6-0-44-1) or Sajith (8-0-45-1). After 80 from Sukhvinder Singh, it was easy enough to chase down, and de Grooters cruised into the one-day final, with Jack McNamara going wicketless and conceding 34 in six overs.

Titans 172 (41.2 ovs) lost to
de Grooters 175-4 (34.5 ovs) by six wickets

Semi-Final Two: Jets v Tigers @ Stedingham

Code:
Stedingham Jets Gofftown Tigers
+T Mamesh RGEWS Cribb
*SA Bennett JA Courtis
HR Wallis *BJ Goff
CR Butler +S Jasotharan
RF Prabhakar Rao JB Malthus-Howell
LRC Chaudhari D Deeps
CL Kalmar Mohammad Mahmood
Javed Shafiq Jamaluddin Hossain
M Bala D Muhaffy
T Loganathan GM Thomas
AA Cameron NJ Masterman
The Jets struggled initially, with Mamesh and Bennett both failing as they fell to 20 for 2, but a half-century from Holden Wallis and a well-crafted ton from Chris Butler lifted the Jets to 228 for 6 - also helped by 35 off just 33 balls from Chris Kalmar. Greg Thomas then ran through them, finishing with four for 48, while Brendon Goff also got two for 17 as change bowler. Andy Cameron got early wickets, but Goff plundered his way to a 139-ball ton, hoiking Butler for a six to bring up his century. Cameron finished with four for 43, but Goff finished on 115*, winning the battle of the batsmen and the match.

Jets 242 (49.4 ovs) lost to
Tigers 245-5 (47 ovs) by five wickets

Never really got going this season in club cricket with bat or ball. That was a really good century by Bulter and Cameron bowled really well, we should have backed up those guys better.

Yep. The CWBCC official responsible for sending over your data to the relevant scorers is a retired doctor, and his handwriting was indecipherable.
Excuses excuses :p

Not bad though, 50 and 2-43 on debut

JW Tebbut CA Naik
CR Palmer Ehsan Ahsan
Z Ghansar HW Warwick
P Fisher DJ Comley
JA Finnegan NS Hoy
CD McKern *DJ Watt
MT Mitchell DM Kennett
As most of de Grooters were busy with the Bar XI game, the Darters made the most of it to qualify for the first 3-day Trophy final. Surprisingly, it was their batters who won them the game, as they faced 99 overs in the first-day rain on a pitch that got more and more worn. Beautiful batting from Rich Langley (56), Dave Kearsley (54) and Megan Gaukroger (nine-hour 75), sent the Darters to 246 for 3 at stumps on day one, before the pair lashed out hitting 31 in 10 second-day overs against McKern and Mitchell. Mitchell eventually had Gaukroger caught at slip for 87, and Finnegan took care of the next five batsmen to end with six for 70 - Mitchell and McKern grabbed two wickets each, and the Darters were bowled out for 315. But with a new ball, de Grooters lost both their openers in the space of thirteen deliveries, and plenty of chances were created. However, it took an hour to get the next wicket - an outswinger from Kennett flew to Kearsley's outstretched hand at backward point, and de Grooters were 27 for 3. Hoy then took two wickets before lunch, Warwick and Comley took one each, before a splendid over from Watt yielded a hat-trick of pros - Chaulk c Warwick 51, McKern c Warwick 0, Mitchell c & b 0. De Grooters followed on 197 behind - and faltered. David Kennett bowled unchanged with metronomic line and length, and once he had Sajith bowled for 10 with one that nipped back, the wickets fell quickly. He took eight wickets in a spell lasting 10.3 overs, removing three batsmen for ducks, and getting three lbws. Hoy also trapped the batsmen in front twice, ending with 4-2-8-2, but Kennett's spell of 10.3-2-28-8 will surely be remembered in Davistow for some time.

Darters 315 beat
Grooters 118 & 61 by an innings and 136 runs

Code:
Pickford Panthers Edfield Seahawks
PE Young +H Mørk
T Gould DP Towns
+MA Hepworth P Bharat
DB Jacob G Nayak
DRP Chopra KF James
MW de Silva DK Rai
SE Fuller DP Tucker
CB Benjamin GN Nayak
TC Halsey *JE Sanders
JJ McCrystal NA Borcich
NS Pickup RS Whitehead
The Seahawks came from behind to snatch a victory at Pickford, the first team to do so this year, as their aggressive batting paid dividends in the second innings. Pickford's six-pronged bowling attack simply could not threaten, as the Seahawks turned a 33-run first innings deficit into a win despite the heroic efforts of Callum Benjamin - redeeming himself for two costly dropped catches in the first hour, spilling Mørk in the first over while on four and Towns on 7. Mørk went on to make 17, before Bharat went in with the aim to hit every ball. She nearly managed - of her 31 balls faced, two hit the pad, two whisked past the outside edge, twenty-five were scoring shots, two were nicks to a vacant silly point, and one hit the bottom edge as Pickup had her caught. That, and the introduction of Benjamin, saw the Seahawks shot down to 145 from 112 for 2. Peter Young played his shots for a fine 56, yet two wickets from Borcich pegged the Panthers backed to 105 for 5 before Sean Fuller came in and put on runs - a total of 43 lifted the Panthers to 173 for 6, before Tucker and Borcich took them out for 178 - Borcich finishing with four for 39, while Rai bowled 13 maidens. Bharat (68 off 51) and Mørk (39 off 88) boosted the Panthers in the second innings, as the clouds cleared up and the Seahawks made it to 151 for 3 at lunch - hitting 146 in a session. The high run rate continued, Gary Nayak making 59, and though Benjamin took another wicket (Rai c Gould 19), he conceded 40 runs, as the Seahawks powered on to 332 - well helped by 53 from Tucker and 44 from Sanders. Borcich then showed a good display of swing, rapping the batters on the pads and having one wicket in a tight opening spell, but the Panthers made their way to 61 for 3 - before Gary Nayak and DK Rai took three wickets before stumps, and the Panthers were 86 for 5. Chopra was run out early, but in fine batting conditions Fuller and Benjamin thumped the 50 partnership in 13 overs, and the Panthers went to lunch with 201 for 7 - needing 99 to win. Borcich and Sanders opened up after lunch, and that turned out to be the key - Benjamin slogged to Towns for a run-a-ball 78, Halsey was caught at midwicket by a diving James, and Pickup gave a return catch to Sanders for 5 - leaving the Seahawks winners by a margin of 60 runs.

Seahawks 145 & 332 beat
Panthers 178 & 239 by 60 runs

I did that with the latest Crusaders game...us winning 40-odd - 6 probably did wonders for our form, though :D
