Apart of the limitation in running between the wickets, there's no good reason these two specialist batsmen can't bat for the session here. Pitch doesn't look to have any demons.

NZ may have bowled poorly in the first innings but it looks like they have been a lot better here. Plus they batted very well.

I never liked that the authorities have outlawed runners for injured players. I get that there was potential for abuse, but they should have targeted that instead of an outright ban. As the rule stands at the moment the penalty for having an injured player is excessive.
