*Official* Australia A in England 2019

aussie tragic

International Captain
He got injured and the umpires thought it was bad enough to go off the field.
Thanks for that very unspecific unhelpful advice ;)

Wade was struck on the elbow and batted on until Tea, but retired during the break being sent for x-rays. News states he's unlikely to bat again this match but should be fine for next game

Wait....there is an article on cricinfo that states he could miss the next game. Hope you are right.

How can you get a busted elbow of someone like Lewis Gregory anyway? He certainly isn't quick, nobody in this entire game is really

elbows are fickle things
Yeah true, can be a horrible place to get hit. Wade has had some scans and it seems like it isn't major, just some bad bruising that shouldn't be an issue by the time of the next game.

With elbow injuries, I would argue Ponting was never really the same after Roach struck him in Perth, he was genuinely fast then though. The Wade impact seemed more about him simply playing it badly than any especially fierce bowling

First Class Debutant
Sam Curran with 6 wickets and 50 in the first inning and now Jack Leach has taken 5 wickets in the second to both push their cases for selection.

Now we will see whether Tremain, Bird, Neser, Marsh and Holland can bowl the Australian A side to victory.

Bird averages 30 in tests, taking 3.8 wpm, despite being given limited opportunity. That's well and truly good enough to be considered test class. I think it might have even been under 30 before his last test on the MCG highway a couple of years back where nobody got any wickets.
