*Official* 2022 New Zealand Tour of England, Ireland, Scotland & Netherlands

TBF it’s going to be an interesting Ashes next year.

Can’t wait for this summer’s 2 2 test series in NZ. Sri Lanka will probably give us a good run for our money if we don’t play them at Hagley with Latham opening.

Feeling a bit negative. The Black Caps seem a bit stuck really. Still haven’t found a spin bowler that they trust. Latham continues to have troubles against the good teams. Williamson out of form/absent. Southee just had his worst test match for a long time. Wagner just coming back into the team, with reports he’s lost a bit of zip. Nicholls out of form. Opener not really Young’s best position. Conway hasn’t REALLY pushed on. They have to see you can really only play 2 of Southee/Boult/Henry - all 3 doesn’t really work.

Is that about it?

Jamieson injured too.

It is almost like a trial for the Pakistan tour.(Ajaz will definitely play there and Henry definitely won't, so testing out the options). But doing it in a test match!
6 months is a very long time in cricket. Who plans that far ahead? Pretty sure they really believe in the side they've picked. Pretty scary...

Just tuned in to see Broad had Latham on a plate again.

Looks like a cracking wicket & one batsmen will need to get themselves out so watch for a Williamson leg-side strangle.

Just tuned in. Fuming at the selection of Macewell ahead of Ajaz. I suppose they’re hoping for him to do a Mark Craig and smack some useful runs while bowling NZ to a 4th innings Leeds victory. Fair play to him if he goes well but symptomatic of muddled team selection for a long time.

Kane is definitely looking quite fluent. Plenty of runs in the pitch and the outfield is lighting.

Anyone else miss the start due to another sparksports technical issue?
Yes, found out if you go to channels and try Spark Sport 1 it works. Frustrating as he'll. Meridio had same issue.

Ooh, Overton looks lively 88 mph first ball.

Agree in the main although can't actually recall Ajaz looking that threatening out of the subcontinent, and Macewell does actually turn the ball. Of the two I'd take Ajaz, but not by the Cook Strait.

Ajaz picked up a few wickets a year ago in England tbf. Deserved a proper go here, it is bizarre what we are doing with him

Good to see 140 k bowler in a test match although he hasn't hit good areas yet.

Young getting a bit restless

Overton 140 k the first ball then couple of 130 k and then a 140 k again. It can be handy if can keep a reasonable line and length
