Jake Arthur is a not very good half back though and they usually run the show. Decent effort to come back from 20-14 down, like you said, the sort of game they'd have dropped this time of year the past few seasons.

Hard to see them losing another game for the rest for the year tbh

if this was prev years, the eels would make the four and lose to the cowboys in a tight one in finals week one, and then get blown out by the broncos or souths in round two. we'll see if they can subvert history

Incredible try by Jake last night to be able to get it down with so much of his body just centimetres from the ground.
Big big game next week against the wabbits, lose it and the Eels are almost gone if you conclude you need to make the top 4.
Don't recall a team from the lower half of the draw winning the comp since the Tigers nearly 20 years ago.
You'll have to listen to that one on radio from Fiji next week.

They are playing a lot better this year...they are only playing the Knights tonight though. I'm hoping to rejoice in their (almost) inevitable demise come finals time. I am in the unenviable position of both winning and being knocked out if that happens as my team is Whoever Is Playing the Broncos.

Two plays in a row from Milford when Newcastle were possibly working their way into the game (the miskick at goal and then kicking it out in the full immediately after) show why he's not quite up to it at NRL level. Let the crowd get to him at the kick, and then compounded that with an error that put Newcastle on the back foot.
