Two aggressive openers to set the scene for the batting talent to follow. Ambrose and Walsh are proven performers with impressive economy rates as well as the ability to take wickets. Kumble, O'Donnell, Waugh and Shastri all have economy rates under 5 and are solid performers. For added variety, Sehwag and Chanderpaul give the bowling attack a good spread.
I see now that he has taken quite a few wickets. Didn't know till now that he ever bowled. Haven't seen it at all.

While it was slightly tempting to get Dravid to keep wickets and take an additional batsman/bowler, with the deep and strong batting line-up plus quality bowling, decided to go with a pure keeper to keep to a lovely pace quartet and spin of Bhajji, Gayle and Viv.

Ridley Jacobs and Syed Kirmani were competitors but when you think of a pure keeper, the first name that comes to anyone's mind is Alan Knott. Struck at 80+ too in the 70s. So, he can sure hit a few quickies as well if required.
