So it's not just him that he is affecting.
The team will get really sick of him getting special treatment (which he would if he turned up to meetings and practises hungover or still drunk).
The public are going to get really sick of him missing games if he has another injury due to a punching a window or the like.
Honestly, was there anyone who didn't think when Ryder was injured last year and didn't ever seem to get any better that he could have been wrecking his rehab by getting on the juice?
That's rubbish to suggest it was the alcohol that ruined his rehab, if anything the doctors and Black cap specialists ****ed up in going down the rehab route.
If Ryder had the surgery when he tore his abductor muscle after it had happened instead of pissing around with the rehab for 5 months, he would have easily been back on the park sooner then he was.
**** after that surgery to strengthen his abdominal wall he was back playing club cricket after a week.

Yeah - that all came out in the wash and was revealed - but I bet you a lot of people had doubts about what the hell he was actually doing when he was on the sidelines and no one seemed to be able to say exactly what was long or far away he was from playing.
It's not just the alcohol issue that people will question either. Unfortunately for him, when he gets injured people are going to question his commitment to getting fit again.

It is a real shame the way his career is going but i think too many people are overreacting with his recent escapades. We don't have all the facts to judge the incident on. I hope he sorts everything out as he's a good player to watch and NZ need some new stars (vetorri can't run the club on his own)
