That Kohli slog that became Jono's avatar for a few months deserves mention imo

This one always springs to mind. An even worse example of the Clarke/Maxwell brain fade leaves:

Was it Clarke who had a really weird one against New Zealand in the 2007 World Cup? Got an absolutely nothing 70mph delivery on middle stump (IIRC Franklin or Styris would have been bowling), shaped up to drive it then stopped at the top of his backswing and just watched the ball as it hit his middle peg.

It's about a minute into the Try Using Your Bat compilation.

Chris Roger's LBW to a loopy full toss from Swann at Lord's is 2013 comes to mind. Was going down leg too.
Also every Shane Watson LBW review ever...

For an obscure one, McCullum v England at Napier (?) in 08. Sidebottom operating round the wicket, bowled off stump (not chopped on by a long shot) playing an expansive CUT SHOT. It truly baffled all that saw it. And given we got humped in that game to lose the series from 1-0 up, I'm sure we were in trouble when he played it.

About 50 seconds into this footage from the Bodyline series; it's not very clear, but that looks like a pretty dumb run out (blocking then running when there's a guy at short leg, out by yards).

Obviously much worse over last few years, but does anybody remember the Jadeja innings when they were trying to save the 2nd test against South Africa in 2013?

61.2
Peterson to Jadeja, no run, lunges forward to reach the pitch and ensure the rough outside off doesn't play too much havoc
61.3
Peterson to Jadeja, 2 runs, changes the length as he sees Jadeja advancing, but he does tap the short ball through point for a couple
61.4
Peterson to Jadeja, SIX, forget the tension, forget the wicket two balls ago, I'll wade into this flighted ball outside off stump and smack it straight over long off! What a strike!
61.5
Peterson to Jadeja, no run, leans forward with bat close to pad and blocks this full ball outside off
61.6
Peterson to Jadeja, OUT, he has two in the over and Peterson's joy knows no bounds. The India change room is absolutely stunned as Jadeja's intention to go over the top again results in a leading edge and he's safely pouched at mid-off. Absolute sillyness after he had just struck a six a couple of balls previously. He wasn't to the pitch of this which added to his downfall. Morkel gives a kiss to the ball and India flounder
