JB, when you played with and against Thommo, did you find he usually operating at top speed or did he sort of mail it in at times? I’m always interested in knowing how bowlers in particular managed that sort of thing in the days before sports science.

He played to win at all times..He is just that type of guy..His fishing is no different, has to catch the biggest

Really? They'd be mostly in their 70s and 80s. I guess if you're into that sort of thing

Fairly sure Lillee is on record as saying Thommo wasn't as erratic as commonly thought. Him backing off to 90mph and consistently hitting a length with that lift sounds like a ****** proposition to be at the pointy end of.
