If anyone thinks being called Osama is offensive, go into the comments section on the stories on Fox Sports etc. Australia is a racially-backward country, compared to the rest of the world. They're not changing, so no one should act too surprised.

^Believes in justice. Against stereotypes.

Condemns someone without evidence. Stereotypes a nation.

Not sure if comments sections are a fair reflection - ours are no better.

That is not exclusively Australian though. That's pretty much any comments section anywhere. Check out the Cricinfo comments section for one.

Knew this thread was going to bring out the worst given the subject matter. Reading through the 'where's the evidence' posts helps me understand what a lot of women go through when facing ***ual harassment. People ask the same thing and how do you prove such a thing? How is Moeen supposed to prove it?

Without specifically referring to Moen, women make unsubstantiated claims all the time for various reasons

Yet it happens. Should we just accept all allegations at face value then? Guilty straight away?

Yeah, I don't suppose this is what hing intended (or at least I hope not), but taken as read his post appears to imply that the making unsubstantiated assertions are things exclusive to female persons and/or comes across as a bit victim-blamey.

Ah nah, that's not what I meant.
