So what, we expect people to make rapid decisions and spin around like a Beyblade just to avoid premeditation?

Does that mean run outs are bad because the bowler didn't premeditate them? And are batters obliged to have the bowlers not even think about running out the non striker?
Ironically that is exactly what the batter would have to do. I never said I was anti-mankads so the run out comparison is irrelevant as well as off-base.

The batter can very easily just not back up that far. Easy decision, needs no Beyblading actions to pull off. If the likes of Kohli can do it why can't everyone else? It's ultimately a question of how much the wicket is valued vs the head start gained.

This incident has gained notoriety so hopefully it will set a precedent for batters to remain in the crease until the ball is out and not assume it is going to be delivered.

Whatever it takes!!!
I'm only guessing but i'd have assumed she'd have spoken to Dean. She wouldn't be that careless surely
You can assume what you like, mate. Meanwhile, the fact remains only one of these people were involved in the game yesterday and it was not Heather Knight.

She could easily be advocating for Dean because she doesn't want to deal with the drama atm, as she is quite young. Just saying is all. We'll know soon enough.

It looks like you wanna find excuses and reasons to back up a biased wrong take. If anyone deserves sympathy here, its Deepti.

Advocacy is a big thing with mental health. We saw Dean cry, she's obviously a sensitive soul. Deepti can have some sympathy if it turns out Heather is dead wrong. Plenty of it in that scenario. Until then, it's factual to say it's been contested. Yes, by someone who wasn't in the match but connect some dots

Does leaving a crease really give you any significant advantage (if any advantage at all) ??

Does your definition of mental health and abuse include the absolute crap Deepti has had to put up with in social and cricket media last couple of days?

Said sensitive soul was happy to perform a light hearted action over it less than 24 hours later though
