I'd put you up Smitteh but I live a long way from London! Shame that, could be money to be made from these Games for the southerners. People made a fortune out of us hosting The Open up the road a couple of years back.If an Englishman would be willing to put me up for a few weeks (with compensation of course) I could very well be there.
Yeah I remember heaps of people did that here in '00, rent out your house for two weeks for a fortune, go on an amazing holiday.I'd put you up Smitteh but I live a long way from London! Looking forwards to them, might try and get down for some of the Athletics but I imagine tickets will be hard to come by

One of the people with the screens in case a weightlifter disclocates an arm perhaps?I will be having a look at volunteering to be part of it somewhere, I think.
From the London 2012 site:One of the people with the screens in case a weightlifter disclocates an arm perhaps?
Was surprised that there were volunteers there simply for that, but there you go.
Signed myself up on volunteer2012 aaages agoFrom the London 2012 site:
Recruitment will start in 2010. We’ll recruit volunteers from across the UK – from a range of communities and backgrounds. Our recruitment process will be transparent, open and fair. Our goal is to select applicants who meet our criteria and who will bring passion, enthusiasm and energy to the Games. Previous volunteering experience is not necessary.
We’ll give each successful applicant a specific role, allowing them to contribute meaningfully to the Games. There will be two kinds of Games volunteer – specialist and generalist.
Specialist volunteers will have specific existing skills or qualifications that are needed for them to complete the role – for example, sport or medical training.
Generalist volunteers will not need any special skills or qualifications and will receive full training. They might be given roles in areas such as event services, uniform distribution and Village operations.
Have signed myself up on the site, let's see what happens...
By that time, I'll be in Uni (hopefully), would be a gun 2 weeks. You'd be welcome to stay at wherever I am.If an Englishman would be willing to put me up for a few weeks (with compensation of course) I could very well be there.
