Kohli’s 2014-15 series in Aus is better than any Sachin series in Aus for me, for the sheer run scoring output, and against a decent attack(the same Johnson who demolished England an year back).

Tendulkar batted well that series against a strong attack in a losing cause, but from memory he averaged 46 - I wouldn't have called that an all time level performance.
Also the only real threat was Mcgrath in that attack. The 2012 and 2018 attacks that SA had were better, that Kohli scored against, and on tougher pitches as well.

Kohli was immense in that series, for sure. The only thing that would mark him down there (which would be the same for batsmen from both sides) is the absolute motorways those Tests were played on. There were 15 centuries scored in just four Tests, while Lyon was the leading wicket-taker with 23 - six wickets per Test - and still averaged nearly 35!
