Whatever it takes!!!
I like and rate Virat more than most in this forum but I dont think he is anywhere near Sachin the test bat, is slightly behind as an ODI bat.

He is the better T20 bat for sure though.

Sachin had a few aggressive innings as well in his career. 155 against Australia quickly springs to mind but there were a few others too.
Even his Chennai 155 masterclass was a case of controlled demolition of Warne. He didn't lash out at Warne from the outset.

I said it’s close, but Kohli’s faced marginally better attacks and done well vs peak Steyn/Philander/Morkel, which is the best ever SA attack(this was in 2013, when people didn’t even take Kohli seriously as a test bat). In 2018 on some of the nightmarish SA pitches ever, Kohli was head and shoulders above all batsmen vs a seriously good attack. Sachin was brilliant in SA, but Kohli’s the best batsmen to visits there. I’m just saying that I might marginally prefer Kohli there, Sachin has no weakness there tho. In Aus, Sachin is still slightly better for me, but Kohli’s 2014/15 was better than any series he had there cause he did face a decent attack and for the sheer run scoring output. I am by no means saying Sachin was weak here, but that Kohli is slightly better in bouncing conditions maybe.
Kohli’s faced marginally better attacks? I think you’re forgetting Tendulkar played the entire 90’s as well as the entire 00’s. Ambrose/Walsh, Wasim/Waqar, Donald/Pollock, Warne/McGrath, Murali///.

While I think Sachin is obviously in a different class to Kohli, I'd rank Kohli's performance in 2018 in South Africa over any series Sachin played with the exception of the 1999 series India in Australia.

Pretty sure Sachin scoring scoring tons as a teen in Australia in 92 pips that.

Tendulkar batted well that series against a strong attack in a losing cause, but from memory he averaged 46 - I wouldn't have called that an all time level performance.

Yeah but the Aussie attack and Australia in general around that time were absolutely brilliant. And Sachin pretty much stood up to them all alone.
