Keith Miller vs Ian Botham (as all-rounders)

So I've got an opinion on this ( as one might suspect ).

Why would Botham get votes for greatest allrounder (other than nationalism), when isn't Miller just a souped up Botham? If during your pit, you could swap out your BMW or Audi for a Porsche or Mercedes, why wouldn't you?

Provocatively phrased questioning aside, what do you all think?

Miller. Think the only argument for Botham tends to be that he played stronger opposition so it doesn't help that he flopped against the West Indies. Miller v Hadlee as cricketers would be good and harder.

Got to be Hadlee there. Many more sides of great players I could construct which could forgo the beefed up batting of Miller, but many less which could forgo a Hadlee caliber bowler.

Edit: I think Hadlee and Imran are the fulcrum on which the "optimize batting/bowling in an ATG team allrounder" rests. If you're not picking Hadlee, then you better be picking Imran or a bowler from the tip top of the ATG bowling pantheon. And if you're not picking Imran, then you better be picking Hadlee or a player for a specialist batting position. I like to get around this issue by just picking them both at 8 and 9.

Ian Botham had far more moments of greatness. Keith Millers raw numbers are better but he wasn’t perceived as a match winner on the same level as Botham.
