I think they're basically equal.
Huge parallels between the two as bowlers, once you get around the extremely opinionated takes. Both started extremely strong, and then were asked to do more than they were capable of by their country for quite a long while on the back of reputation/legendary status alone.
I like Botham quite a bit, but Kapil streets ahead in professionalism, I must say.
