I didn't realize Stollmeyer died in such a tragic way. Bloody horrendous.

The interesting thing about those Wisden reports is they give an occasional insight into the tactics employed by the players. Copson tried dismissing Stollmeyer by aiming at middle and leg. Perhaps he was thinking he could get underneath Stollmeyer's defence. Yet Wisden mentioned that Copson's length that game was generally a little short of a length. So he seems to have applied a different length to Stollmeyer. Didn't work as the batsman got 59 on debut before getting skittled by Bowes.

In the 2nd innings Copson changed tactics and bowled just short to Stollmeyer and got him for a duck from a lifter, which kind of indicates a difference in tactics employed by Copson during the match.
