It's like saying Erling Haaland is better for City than Aguero based on 1 season , Kapil Dev put in way too much work for India to be undone by Bumrah now , Bumrah has to still show he can overcome injuries that all fast bowlers deal with , how he deals with this current setback will show his worth .

A more interesting comparison would be Kapil vs Akhtar.
Bumrah was the better bowler but Kapil was an outstanding cricketer.
